Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or receiving treatment at Midways Dental, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Midways Dental is a dental practice located at 131a Johannesburg Rd, Lyndhurst, Johannesburg, 2192. These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you (the patient) and Midways Dental regarding the provision of dental services.

2. Our Services

We provide a range of professional dental services, including but not limited to:

• General Dentistry
• Pediatric Dentistry
• Aesthetic / Cosmetic Dentistry
• Orthodontics
• Restorative Dentistry
• Crowns and Bridges

All treatments are provided by qualified and registered dental professionals in accordance with the Health Professions Act and other applicable South African legislation.

3. Appointments and Cancellations

• Appointments are subject to availability.
• Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
• We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a cancellation fee.
• We reserve the right to charge for appointments where patients arrive more than 15 minutes late and cannot be accommodated.
• Emergency cases will be prioritised where possible.

4. Payments and Fees

• All fees are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
• Payment is due at the time of treatment unless prior arrangements have been made.
• We accept cash, card payments, and EFT.
• Medical aid claims are processed on your behalf where possible, but you remain responsible for any shortfalls, co-payments, or non-covered treatments.
• We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts and to engage debt collection services if necessary.
• Treatment plans and cost estimates are provided where requested. Final costs may vary depending on clinical findings.

5. Patient Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete medical and personal information.
• Follow post-treatment care instructions.
• Maintain good oral hygiene and attend recommended follow-up appointments.
• Inform us of any changes in your medical condition or contact details.
• Respect our staff and premises.

6. Consent to Treatment

By agreeing to treatment, you consent to the dental procedures recommended by our clinicians. We will explain the nature, risks, benefits, and alternatives of proposed treatments. You have the right to ask questions and refuse treatment.

7. Children and Minors

• Treatment of minors (under 18) requires consent from a parent or legal guardian.
• We encourage parents/guardians to be present during consultations and treatment.

8. Liability and Disclaimers

• While we strive to provide the highest standard of care, dental outcomes cannot be guaranteed due to individual biological variations.
• We are not liable for any complications arising from failure to follow post-treatment instructions.
• Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided.
• We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from your use of our website or services, except as required by law.
