Treatments & Procedures

8. How often should I visit the dentist?

We generally recommend a check-up and professional cleaning every 6 months. Patients with specific conditions (gum disease, high decay risk, orthodontic treatment) may need more frequent visits.

9. Do you offer teeth whitening?

Yes. We provide professional, safe, and effective in-chair and take-home teeth whitening options.

10. What is involved in a dental check-up?

A routine check-up includes a thorough examination, digital X-rays (if needed), professional cleaning, oral cancer screening, and discussion of any treatment needs.

11. How long do dental implants / crowns / veneers last?

With proper care, crowns and veneers can last 10–15+ years, while implants can last a lifetime. Longevity depends on oral hygiene and regular dental visits.

Pediatric Dentistry

12. At what age should my child have their first dental visit?

We recommend the first dental visit by the child’s first birthday or when their first tooth appears. Early visits help prevent problems and build positive associations with dental care.

13. How do you make visits comfortable for children?

Our team uses child-friendly language, gentle techniques, and a welcoming environment. We focus on prevention, education, and making the experience fun.

Payments & Medical Aid

14. Do you accept medical aid?

Yes. We work with most major medical aids and submit claims on your behalf where possible. You remain responsible for any shortfalls or non-covered treatments.

15. What payment options are available?

We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and EFT. Payment plans may be arranged for larger treatments.

Aftercare & Emergencies

16. What should I do if I have a dental emergency?

Contact us immediately on our emergency line: +27 67 376 1401 (WhatsApp available). We prioritise genuine emergencies such as severe pain, swelling, knocked-out teeth, or broken teeth.

17. How long does recovery take after a procedure?

Recovery time varies. Most patients resume normal activities the same day after routine procedures. We provide detailed aftercare instructions for every treatment.

Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, eat a balanced diet, limit sugary snacks/drinks, and attend regular dental check-ups.
